Finding Nature Finds Nature - Feeding CountryThu, 26 Nov, 4pm - Sun, 29 Nov, 11am AEDT

Most retreats ask you to slow down and be looked after. At Finding Nature, and as part of Eating Country to Save Country, we know the antidote to our ills is to get into healthy action and to be of service to others and vision much greater than any one of us.
From Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November, ten people will join Finding Nature and Jocelyn King at Djanaba Farm on Worimi Country for our next expedition in the Eating Country to Save Country program. This time, you'll do more than visit Country. You'll be helping feed people from it.
The four days build towards Saturday's Long Lunch. 30 guests will arrive for ceremony, storytelling, a farm tour, Jocelyn's vision and a three-course meal by the peerless Gus_tronomy, with drinks from Tinshed Brewery and Dharawal Spirits. You and your fellow travellers will be the crew behind it. You'll prepare food alongside Gus, set the long table, welcome and host guests, and clean up once the last glass is empty.
Before that, there's time to get to know the place. We’ll be immersing ourselves in Jocelyn’s story and that of Djanaba Farm, harvesting and gathering produce, enjoy evenings around the fire pit and connect to Country walking in the surrounding bushland and swimming in the Monkerai River. After the guests leave, Sunday is for rest, reflection and the trip home home.
Hosting together is a fast way to belong. You'll arrive as ten strangers and leave as a crew. This expedition is focused on service - service to those attending the lunch and service to the re-awakening of an ancient food story Djanaba Farm is at the heart of.
