ABOUT THE substack

beyond the news cycle

Forget report launches and policy updates. This writing goes deeper: exploring the motivations, tactics, wins, losses, hopes, and fears of those creating change.

Capturing the voices of many, the Finding Nature substack seeks to share the experience, strength and hope of the many and varied in this community in a homage to some of my favourite magazines of the 90s and 00s. From deeply vulnerable contributions on why this work matters as a parent to the tactics and strategies used to influence and deliver change, this writing places our work in the frames of our irrepressible human spirit - love, fear, honesty and many more.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we work and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past and present. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
